A landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions.

Situated in Karamoja district in the extreme north-eastern boarder of Uganda on the boarder with Sudan, the 1,442 square kilometres park is a remote wilderness that supports many animals not found else where in the country, including greater and lesser Kudu and cheetah.”
“It could not be any better is a common comment on the scenery by visitors who often promise and do come back to Kidepo. Huge latitudinal range and correspondingly wide climatic conditions have evolved an extremely diverse flora.
