Tour to Northern Tanzania

Day 1: ARRIVE ARUSHA.

When you arrive at the airport in Tanzania, our tour guide will be ready to welcome you and drive you to River trees Country Inn, under Mt. Meru. Overnight River trees Country Inn.

Day 2: DRIVE TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning enjoy your breakfast and drive to Tarangire camp situated in acacia woodland and grassland on the northern boundary of Tarangire National Park, for lunch. During the afternoon of your Tanzania safari tour you will head to Tarangire National Park which has outstanding giant Baobab trees and renowned for its Elephants, plains game and predators, as well supporting a large number of bird life, plus endemic species.

Day 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.

Use the entire day for game drives however you must carry picnic lunch, because you are to spend the whole day in the wilderness. Listen to the sounds of the animals as they communicate with each other for example the Elephant have a charming way of communicating with subtle interactions, which your Guide will be able to identify and share with you. In the early hours of the evening, have an ethno-botanical walk from camp, in the company of a local Masai.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

Head to Lake Manyara National Park, going passed the cool ground-water forest prior to arriving at the Lake shore. The Park is famous for its tree climbing Lions; on the other hand there is a possibility of you seeing Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, primates and a wealth of bird life. Enjoy the picnic lunch in the park and use the afternoon for a game-drive. You get back from your safari tour as the dusk break and the sun sets behind a distant highlands. Move up the escarpment to Kirurumu Tented Lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight.

Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER

Rise up early for an early morning ethno-botanical walk as well as visit to local Iraq tribe. Having finished your breakfast, leave for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, moving down to the rim and get ready for the magical sight of the Ngorongoro Crater, which will bewitch your senses.

Move down into the Crater for a tour near the Lerai Acacia Forest and the crater floor, search for giant-tusked Elephant, extraordinary Black Rhino and the black-maned Lion. Move down the crater rim in the early evening, passed the luxuriant montane forest, for dinner / overnight Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 6: NGORONGORO – MOVE WITH A MASAI

Wake up early in the morning for a game-drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, then return for by lunch and move back to Ngorongoro Serena. During the afternoon you move out to the undulating hills of the Ngorongoro Highlands to have some talk with a Masai chief, who walks you around the close by Bomas and an afternoon’s walk in the nearby area. In the late afternoon move back to Ngorongoro Serena for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: NGORONGORO – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Get up very early in the morning for another tour. You will leave for the Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge to visit the small but interesting museum of this famous archaeological site. Continue on a game-drive through the vast Serengeti National Park to the Serengeti Classic Camp for lunch. In the afternoon head out for game drives before returning to camp for dinner and overnight

Days 8 & 9: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Use the entire day for a game drives in the Serengeti, habitat to the greatest concentration of large mammals on earth. The area is made up of vast stretches of open plains, punctuated by kopjes, rock formations that have survived from the Pr-Cambrian period, and more rolling, hilly, mixed savannah woodland, cut by seasonal streams and rivers that nurture huge trees. At night relax by the campfire, under a canopy of stars.

Day 10: Serengeti – Arusha

Having finished, your breakfast, head to Seronera airstrip to get on your on going flight to Arusha. When you arrival, there will be time for some shopping/browsing and a day room will be available prior to last farewell dinner and drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your home bound flight.
