According to the information got from a correspondent from Kigali, Rwanda Air is soon adding Mwanza which is Lake Victoria’s major townships in Tanzania to the list of its new destination places. This evidence to the fast growing airline which has with a short period of time has managed to expand on the list of its destination. Flights to Mwanza will be starting in June and are also looking forward to adding another destination within Tanzania so that it becomes easier to fly in and out the countries at any time of the week. This is an additional destination to the already existing ones which are Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro International which is outside Arusha with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
This news follows the earlier news that Rwanda airlines will be flying to Johannesburg every day starting on June 10th so therefore, the competitor s are up for a real challenge since Rwanda seems so determined to connect with all the potential markets for their trade and tourism attractions which may fetch the country a lot of revenue and hence develop the country. These flights will connect the Land of a Thousand Hills to all countries within the East African/African region and the whole world at the same time.
Rwanda Air has got full support from the government of Rwanda which is the reason why it has managed to fully implement their strategic and business plans with out any hardships, just last year, they bought two brand new B737-800 and there are also two brand new Bombardier CRJ900 on order expected to be delivered in Rwanda in October. Meanwhile on Monday Bombardiers showed off their newly acquired Q400 Next Gen aircraft in Kigali and Rwanda air is also thinking of getting a larger turboprop aircraft which they will use to do the work around to Kamembe since that area now requires an increase in the number of flights to meet the demands of the tourists who cross from Congo.
