By April 4, 2013kenya tourism news

The Kenya wildlife services has asked  members of parliament in this 11th to act very fast and Introduce the wildlife bill which will include tight penalties that will be faced by any one caught and proved to be a  poacher. They expect the new penalties in the bill to protect Kenya’s wildlife from this increasing habit that will soon lead to the extinction of Kenya’s rare and most tourists’ attractions like the elephants and the Rhinos.

According to Paul Mbugua who is the KWS Spokesman, they have been using this current Wildlife Act is now outdated so now hopefully the 11th Parliament will pass the Wildlife Bill as soon as sittings begin to assist in wiping out poaching in Kenya’s national parks before its too late and the country has got no more tourists attraction therefore no more reason for visiting Kenya which will greatly affect the economy of the country. This has come at a time after a suspected ivory smuggler is yet to be charged at the Kibera Law Courts today after he was caught with 19 pieces of ivory in Eastleigh. The bill is expected to introduce heavier punishments for the offenders which will instill fear in them and stop the poaching habit.
