In case during your Uganda safari you are going to take part in any of the above listed, we recommend that you pack lightweight hiking boots which are comfortably fitting (not to firm on the foot) but with good ankle support since these activities require walking for several hours. You don’t want to see a swollen foot or get a twisted ankle at the end of you adventure may be because your shoes were too tight or unfitting. Hiking shoes that give ankle support are very good especially if you are moving on uneven ground for instance during forest walks and gorilla trekking adventure.

Mountain Climbing

Holidaymakers who are taking part in mountain climbing trips on mountain Elgon, mountain Rwenzori or Mount Mgahinga are advised to have well fitting comfortable and sturdy shoes. also remember that the terrain is not even so you should also consider a shoe that offers good support to your ankles.

Getting Familiar with your new pair of Safari Shoes

We recommend that you buy your safari shoes a couple of day or even weeks before your traveling date to Uganda to take your safari. Once you purchase you good fitting comfortable shoes, we advice that you wear them every now and then while you are still back at home so that you can familiarize your foot to the size of your shoes. There is nothing as disappointing on a safari as waking up in the morning and discovering that one of your safari shoes is not comfortably fitting yet you have to rush out for an outdoor activity such as gorilla trekking.
