It is a forest Resort Beach and about about 60 acres of land is covered by natural forests; there are small lakes and streams. This spot offers a wide range of tourism activities but the main is birding probably a quick bird watching tour. This forest is strategically located which means you can visit it as an en-route adventure as you head to or from Jinja.

Bird watching

This forest acts as a safe haven to a huge number of bird species, you can expect to see more than 200 species of birds during your birding safari in Kasenge forest. This forest is also one of the few places where you can find the African Grey Parrot, you will find the Common Bulbul, Slender-billed Green bull, Giant Kingfisher, Slender-billed Greenbull, Madagascar Bee-eater, Open-billed Stork and the Great Blue Turaco, among so many others. Some of the best spots you must go to be able to see variety of these birds include places along the lake and also along edges of the forest.

Nature walks.

Besides the bird watching, you can enjoy the nature walk. A walk through the forest gives you the chance to watch other attractions like the genets, there are squirrels, butterflies and different monkey species say the vervet monkeys, among other attractions.

Fishing

Fishing can be done along the lake. Local communities use this lake as a source of food and also sell some others that can’t do the fishing for themselves.

Canoes rides can also be organized and you can also do a bird watching adventure while on the canoes. You can also do some camping but you will need to carry your own camping facilities like the tents and the sleeping bags.
