Recently, the trip advisory listed some of the beautiful beaches to visit while inn East Africa and one of them was the Diani beach which ranked among the best 25 beaches in world during the Travelers’ Choice Awards (Best of 2015). This comes after it was voted as Africa’s leading beach destination by the World Travel Awards.
Diani Beach was in the 22nd position in the world and the 3rd best among the top 25 beaches in Africa while Watamu Beach in Kilifi County took 14th position on the continent. On the Trip Advisor website, global travel reviewers termed Diani Beach as a “nice place, excellent weather, very good” place to relax.
The rating of these beaches and hotels from across the world is always based on choices made by global travelers. There are some of Kenya’s best hotels and some of the remaining coastal rainforests around Diani beach and in those forests you find the large colonies of black and white Colobus. And nearby, you find the Shimba Hills National Park, and marine national parks like Kisite.
Other attractions include the 18 hole golf course, located right in the middle of Diani and there is a range of water sport options, you can always get helps from the PADI diving schools. This is so because skydiving is the latest thing to do for adrenaline addicts and its made possible in Kenya, only on Diani beach giving tourists an opportunity to combine a relaxed beach holiday, with some game viewing as well as adventure and thrills.
