This is actually the very first time that destination Uganda is using source market-based agencies to market Uganda to the rest of the world. These agencies are required to raise the tourism profile of Uganda as a favorite destination, boost incoming numbers of visitors into Uganda, as well as boost investment opportunities within Uganda’s tourism sector. This great program is financed by the Competiveness & Enterprises Development Project (CEDP) under World.

While in Uganda, you could also visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda home of the endangered mountain gorilla, spend a night on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, visit Queen Elizabeth National Park where over 640 bird species have been recorded. Further north, you can go to the Murchison Falls National Park where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge, only 7 meters (23ft) wide, before plunging 43 meters (141ft) below. If you are into fishing, the River Nile is a great area for sport fishing. Still north you can enjoy the hidden gem of Kidepo Valley National Park.

When head to western Uganda, the eastern adventure capital of Uganda as you visit the true source of River Nile which is the longest river in the world. It is there that this long river begins its long journey into the Mediterranean Sea. Actually something worth mentioning is that the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi, who was a great leader in India, were poured here at the source of River Nile found in Jinja and there they also started their journey down the river.

Uganda – the Pearl of Africa is country that brings people together no wonder Mahatma Ghandi’s also wished that his ashes be sprinkled here at the source of River Nile and flow to other parts of the world.
