The Victoria Nile the Hub of Adventure Safaris in Uganda

The point where this water leaves Lake Victoria is very spectacular as it forms the Ripon Falls commonly known as the Owen Falls Dam.

This section of the River Nile is lined with very fertile soils; and among the common activities carried out there include crop farming and fishing. On the other hand the large lake visitor which supplies water to the Victoria Nile is shared by three East African countries which include Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya.

The Common Activities Conducted On and along the Victoria Include

Visit the Source of River Nile: River Nile is the longest River in the world. On your Uganda Safari as you explore the Victoria Nile, you will have the opportunity to visit the true source of this legendary river.

Domestic and commercial fishing: it is a common sighting of local fishermen sailing in traditional dhows on the lake as they cast their fishing-nets.

White water Rafting: visitors can enjoy rafting on the grade 5 rapids during their visit in Uganda. This is carried out in Jinja town not far from the source of the Nile.

Bungee Jumping: this thrilling activity is perfect for any victoria-nileadventurous travel and not for the light-hearted. You will get an opportunity to jump off from one of the high cliffs along the Nile.

Crop Farming: Also you will see several crop plantations since the areas have fertile soils and receive plenty of rainfall.

The lake shores are a nice place to see different bird species while on your Safari in Uganda, and some few animals especially in the unpopulated areas. There are also several beautiful beach hotels and well maintained beaches where you can always choose to unwind and escape from the crowded city centers.
