It was in this place that German soldiers for a very long time not until late 1915 lived in Kenyan territory, after crossing from Tanganyika. Mr. James Willson a good Kenyan Author as well as the former General Manager of the Hilton Lodges, authored a book on World War I disputes fought within this section of Kenya as well as the bigger region of East Africa called ‘Guerillas of Tsavo’

Most of the findings have been well conserved in a small museum that was set up by Mr. Mwadilo at Taita Hills Lodge, and there tourists can even find some maps plus a couple of illustrations of the very old battlefields.
