On Thursday at the meeting at Nakisunga Sub-county playground in Mukono South Constituency, President Museveni who is also an NRM candidate advised people to elect him as the president again in the February’s polls. He said if he is elected again, he would build the Kampala-Jinja highway into a four-lane dual carriage and construct the kono-Kyetume-Katosi-Kisoga-Nyenga road. He also said beginning from next year, students who perform so well and do not get the university government sponsorship would get the student loans that they would pay back after getting jobs. A’ level students will study for free and they will acquire technical skills for free.
Mr. Museveni talked about the famous Cultural Leaders Bill 2010 that was passed into the law and said the main aim for the Bill is to prevent the cultural leaders from politics. He told the people that they should be aware of people like Nambooze Betty who are opportunities because they pretend that they like the cultural institutions yet they are the biggest enemies and want to destroy them.The president said there is no reason why he would want to spoil the Kabakaship yet he is the one who restored it after President Milton Obote had abolished all the kingdoms in 1966.He said he can never use Kabaka’s name to be elected as president.
He said a big hospital will be built in Mukono district and advised the people to elect him and all the NRM candidates because they are the only ones that can protect Uganda.
