The Republic of Slovak has promised Kenya to send large number of about 200 people to Kenya in July this year and they will spend one week in Kenya and all this is done in an effort to improve on their relationship as far as tourism and economic in the country is concerned. This is one perfect opportunity to attract more tourists from Slovak so that they keep visiting Kenya’s attraction all the time in the year.

Dan Mwazo, Kenya’s tourism Minister following his visit to Slovakia at the beginning of this month, he said that Kenya’ ministry of tourism through the Kenya Tourism Board have all intentions of expanding to as many countries in Eastern Europe as possible to get more market for the  Kenya tourists attractions.  He added that all sectors in the government have got to build a clean and got relationship with outside countries like Slovakia, “it will a good job for the investment sector” he said.  The business people in Kenya can use the opportunity and get connections in other business people from Slovakia so that they can get market for their products there and the neighboring countries.

KTB intends to provide the best so that all the 200 people who will be coming are satisfied with the services that they ill get and so will attract more to come to Kenya and for that reason, they have asked them not bring only tourists but also some media people who can take videos of those really beautiful places so that those who will not the chance to join the group can see the beauty of this country and also help to promote tourism using these videos so said Mwazo.

Meanwhile, Michal Mlynar the Slovak ambassador to Kenya mentioned that Slovakia intends to spend about Sh128 million on a particular development program in Kenya alone this year alone in addition to the already existing 27 projects  which are worth Sh353 million, in the health, education, energy, rural development  as well as agriculture sectors. In addition to those, the embassy opened up what is called the small grants and in this scheme, there are grants of about five thousands Euros (Sh535, 000) provided to the Kenyan NGOs and just last year, there were about 10 such small grants which were given out in various parts of Kenya and they intend to serve at least 20 grants this year so said the ambassador.
