Mountain Gorilla Tracking Uganda and Rwanda
Day 1; Transfer to Rwanda
You will meet your guide after your breakfast at the hotel in Kampala; he will brief you about the trip and then start on your journey to Rwanda driving to the south-West direction of Uganda. You may stop at the Equator in Masaka to have some experiment to determine the southern and northern hemispheres before you proceed to Mbarara where you will have your lunch from. After lunch, you will continue to drive through Uganda rolling green hills as they are commonly referred or better yet called the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’ and you will have to reach a point where you can clearly see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Cong. You will arrive late in the evening and you will sleep in either;
Mid range; Mt. gorilla view/ Gorilla Nest Lodge
Budget; Kinigi Guest House/
Luxury; Sabyinyo silver back lodge/Muhavura lodge (FB) (Full Board)
Day 2; Gorilla Tracking
You will wake up early enough and immediately after your breakfast, you will go to the Parc National des Volcanoes’’ headquarters to be briefed and get a ranger before you can start tracking the gorillas. You will enter the Gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans, the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. Gorilla trekking is such an exciting exercise but might take 1-7hours which is why you have to carry your lunch with you and enough water to take a demanding but rewarding experience. Ensure you bring with you enough water and the packed lunch because the time you spend there will depend on the movements of the Gorillas in their natural environments. After the activity, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and a night.
DAY 3; Transfer to Bwindi national park
After breakfast, you will travel back to Uganda heading to Bwindi national park either at Kisoro side or Kabale depending on your group of gorillas that you will be tracking. You will have lunch en route but your dinner will be at the lodge of your choice as you wait for the next day.

Luxury – Gorilla Forest Camp or Clouds Lodge or Gahinga Volcanoes Lodge, or Volcanoes Bwindi safari Lodge
DAY 4; Gorilla trekking
You will meet your ranger at the headquarters where he will brief your from and then go gorilla tracking, walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas. Meeting the will give you an inspiring moment, you will Sit in the forest among the gorillas for an hour, listening to them grumble to each other and marvel at the sheer size of the silver back which is the dominant male. It’s there very unfortunate that currently, there are only about 650 gorillas that are still alive and the rest have died or been killed. You may go for a guided walk later in the afternoon on the Munyaga River trail, an ultimate short walk leading to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls, and there is abundance of tree ferns, epithytic ferns, orchids and Bwindi colorful array of butterflies. Here you may also see birds and primates from the forest edge. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and over night.
DAY 5: BACK TO KAMPALA
You will wake up early enough, have your breakfast and then drive back to Kampala and you will be arriving in the evening and drive you straight to the airport if you have a flight to catch or drop you to hotel where you will spend the night and have your dinner from.
