By August 28, 2012Kenya travel news

The Kenya is still holding on to delivery Kenya Airways 36th bird, the aircraft was going through serious  vital inflight testing regime in the last two days just before the  official handover of these crafts which is due later this week at the Embraer assembly plant in San Jose Dos Campos.

The moment the aircraft joins the fleet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, it will be used to take on journeys on the regional and medium distance routes across the African and just like the rest of the crafts on Kenya Air ways, it is configured in a Premium and Economy class section, therefore offering 12 business class seats in a 2 x 1 layout and 84 economy class seats in a 2 x 2 layout.

The Embraers are playing a very important role towards seeing Kenya Airways achieve its target of connecting every political and commercial capital city in Africa with Nairobi before the year 2013 ends. They will be using this type of medium distance jet alongside the proven B737NGs and, in particular on select Southern and Western African routes, the B767 and B777. According to a reliable source from Kenya Airways, the airline will take delivery of at least one aircraft in a month until April next year when more deliveries of additional B737NGs will be made.

Kenya has all the intentions of making Kenya Airways the best carrier across the whole continent of Africa.
