Who requires a visa?

All travelers including American nationals with U.S. passports along with Naturalized American residents of Ugandan ancestry require an entry visa to enter Uganda.

Who is excused?

All COMESA Members who include: Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, Burundi, Tanzania, Comoros, Swaziland, Eritrea, Seychelles, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Madagascar and Mauritius.

Others include: Antigua and Barbuda, Singapore Solomon Islands St Vincent & the Grenadines, Cyprus, The Bahamas, Gambia, Barbados, Belize, Fiji, Grenada, Vanuatu, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malta, Sierra Leone, Tonga, and holders diplomatic passports from Italy.

Starting 1st July, 2015, the fee for entry visas into Uganda have been modified as mentioned below:

1. Single Entry-Visa              US$100

2. Multiple Entry-Visa           US$100

3. East Africa Toursist-Visa   US$100

4. Government officials         No fee

5. Diplomatic Visa                  No fee
