Tanzania is set for more aggressive marketing strategies

Tanzania tourism board is now working hard to see that they work on the publicity of their tourism products through working on their international competitiveness. They have come up with a global marketing strategy that harmonizes stakeholders’ views so as to put the country’s hospitality in a better position.

This strategy is a month old International Tourism Marketing Strategy for Tanzania and its implementation is being coordinated by Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and it is anticipated to bring about greater economic success after the number of tourists has increased. According to Mr. Gaudence Temu who is the Chairman of Tourism Confederation of Tanzania (TCT) in his statement made in Dar es Salaam published by the ‘Daily News. He said that TTB and TCT worked together to come up with the five-year Strategy that was sponsored by BEST AC.

He added that more tourists are expected to visit the country with proper marketing skills which will lead to strengthening and expansion of the tourism and hospitality Sector and its growth and development will boost other sectors like agriculture, construction, education, aviation among others. The tourism industry is one of the fastest growing businesses worldwide and Tanzania must work tirelessly to ensure they get a large piece of the cake especially since all countries around Africa depend more on tourism. To achieve this, both the Public and Private Sector have to work together.
