Kirawira luxury tented camp which is one of Serena Hotels’ own managed to amplify the fame of this hotel group after winning three slots in the top 100 Hotels and Resorts around the World and the Platinum Circle.
According to David Sem the Serena Hotels Country Sales Manager, the success is a result if the massive investment program. He added that Kirawira was leading a number of Serena Hotels’ properties thus received the global recognition for their exceptional services as far as accommodation facilities are concerned, at the 2012 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
The Kirawira camp recognition will highly help in the marketing of the Tanzania’s tourism industry on the world map given the fact that there are lots of people that read the magazine. This means that Serena Hotels are being recognized both local and international markets after a tight competition with 99 more other hotels so said Mr. Sem. The awards happen at the same time as the celebrations to mark 25 years in circulation of Condé Nast Traveler. He added that the company has been focusing on provision high quality services and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Among other hotels that were recognized alongside Kirawira are other Serena properties in the top 25 resorts and safari camps in Africa, which rates the top resorts and safari camps in South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Zambia. Among the top 25 resorts and safari camps in Africa: Kirawira Serena Camp was in 8th position, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge 13th , Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge 15th , Mara Serena Safari Lodge (17th) and Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge in the 25th position. Among the top 15 hotels in Africa were Zanzibar Serena Inn in 10th position and Serena Mountain Village – Arusha in the 15th position, Gold List 2012 – Serena Mountain Village-Arusha.
And lastly, among the top 100 Hotels in Africa were Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in 17th position, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge in 24th position, Serena Hotels in the 84th position. It should be noted that the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards has become a platform to celebrate characteristic and best practices in Travel and Accommodation providers, and appreciates organizations that have helped in any way the tourism sector.
