1 DAY TRIP TO NGAMBA ISLAND
Immediately after your breakfast from your hotel in Kampala, you will meet our guide from AA safaris and tours who will brief you and then drive you to Entebbe to get the boat or a pier and go to Ngamba Island which is a home to a number of orphaned Chimpanzees. It will take you just 45 minutes to get to Ngamba Island and you will have to cross the Equator which cuts through the lake before you get there and it now has about 39 chimpanzees, each with a name. Chimpanzees are very social animals and they can live in a group of 20-100. Upon you arrival, you be given some information bout the place (the sanctuary) and the chimpanzees in it. Y will witness the feeding moment, you will watch them interact with each other and with their keepers which will give you great memories about the trip.
You will also have an opportunity to see the different personalities amongst these gorillas, you will some of them fight for food and others will be there clapping. The management has tried its level best to protect and rehabilitate these orphaned chimpanzees to the wild although they are faced with different challenges but despite that, they are still doing well as it is the second best chimpanzee sanctuary out of the 19 that Africa has got. You will see the chimpanzees, walk through the island and see other primates on the Island, the birds and other creatures.
Later in the after noon, you have board a boat and return to the mainland where you will meet your safari guide who will then drive you to Entebbe Wildlife Education Centre best know as the zoo where the ministry of tourism has established some of the country’s conservation zones like the savannah, wetlands and tropical forest so that they can be able to protect the different animals in an environment n which they live in while in the jungle. You will have an opportunity to see the shoe bill if you had not had a chance to see it as well as rhino. In the evening, you will have to go back to your hotel where you will have your dinner and sleep.
