A group Chinese from Peking University in Beijing and Kenyan archeologists hopes to have big discoveries in Malindi following the fact that they have discovered some mammalian skeleton, bullet cartridges ass well as a very old house wall in a place that is close to the site Malindi chief’s camp.

These archeologists are digging up different sites in Malindi and Mambrui looking for the ancient Malindi Kingdom which is said to be at the place where the Chinese and the Swahili people first contacted each other in the 14th century. Jambo Haro who is the head of the National Museum of Kenya’s head of Coastal Archeology said yesterday that they had got some material from the ancient times and this is important information which they want to scientifically study be we want to put under scientific analysis so that we can find out the exact ages of some of the material and information.

Meanwhile Athman Hussein NMK Coast region assistant director also said that although the discovery is exclusive, it is not yet conclusive up to until more tests and analysis have been done. These materials can always be placed in the museums for all tourists to see after exclusive test have been done. The Chinese have to show this information through their state television called CCTV but the TV crew has not yet arrived though were supposed to come in last week. Such information leads to the popularity of the area and therefore such discoveries will lead to improvement of Kenya’s tourism industry as it will place the country amongst the top world heritage destinations so said Hussein and Haro
