By the end of this weekend Kenya airways will receive its latest fleet aircraft number 37 at the Kenya Airways base in Embakasi / Nairobi. This is another Brazilian built Embraer E190 but the only difference is that the livery will reflect the airlines membership in Sky Team which is one of the world’s best performing airline alliances. Already is a B737-700 in service with the same livery, incidentally flown on just a short while ago en route from Nairobi to Mahe, and both will be advertising Kenya Airways strong partnership with leading world airlines, like KLM and Air France.

They are very much cautious of the aggressive crush by the chief continental competitors, where one of them beat the Pride of Africa by a year and a half with the first African delivery of a B787 Dream liner, Kenya Airways is just responding by adding more domestic and more continental destinations in the race so as to compete favorably in the African skies.

There will be about two launches that will take place in October, in Eldoret which is a large town in Western Kenya with 10 flights every week, two on most days but none on Monday that is according to the information got.  Tickets for the launch are available at 59 US Dollars including all the taxes, signal Kenya Airways mood to fight for market share on that route, previously owned by Jetlink and another airline.

After the craft arrive on Saturday, it will be happy landings to crews and passengers from then on-wards, as the Pride of Africa maintains tits performance as well as aiming higher to stay the course drawn under Project Mawingo, which is the airlines 10 year strategic plan.
