The international Hotel Nairobi has been critically analyzing the Business Week, in relationship to with UNESCO’s mission of protect and preserve unique natural and cultural heritage sites. This is the third year of Intercontinental Hotel’s Responsible Business Week observed in corporation with National Geographic.

A lot to see, lots of dance is what filled the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi last Wednesday night as hotel guests came together  to celebrate this cultural event. This was a cocktail event that brought together guests from different cultural circles to interact and share cultural experiences and also jubilate about the variety of cultures they have. Together with the National Geo-graphic’s Center for Sustainable Destinations, Responsible Business Week includes getting Inter Continental hotels from around the world involved in activities that ensure their attractions stay attractive to visit for future generations.

Usually activities done in the responsible business week range from cleaning historical sites to guest experiences around local craft and wildlife conservation projects, all demonstrating InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to protecting the world’s cultures and heritage, among so many others.

As far as marking the Responsible Business Week is concerned, Intercontinental Nairobi is taking on different roles like opening its hotel lobby to traders from the Maasai Market to display their artifacts. The staff members alongside the visitors from foreign countries will tour and clean up the Maasai Market near the Nairobi Law Courts during the weekend and will also tour places like the National Archives, Kipande House and finally the Bomas of Kenya and that will be it.
