Enjoying a safari in the Masai Mara

Come August, the Mahali Mzuri which is luxury tented camp in Maasai Mara owned by Sir Richard Branson will be opening for great business. They are set to open at that time to coincide with the world-famous Wildebeest migration season. This Kenyan Safari camp is under the management of the Virgin Limited Edition, which is Branson’s collection of ‘stunning retreats’ and the luxury portfolio of Virgin Hotels Group.

Latest information state that Virgin Limited Edition is now taking reservations for August and those guests who book before February 28 for a five- or four-night stay will get a free night at the time. There rates are also read and the high season rates between  July 1-October 19 and December 20-January 1, will be at $995 and $1,340 per person for double occupancy and single occupancy that order. In the mid season, they will pay $845 and $1,140 per person for double occupancy and single occupancy respectively that is from January 2-March 31 and October 20-November 20 and then in the low season of between April 1-June 30 and November 21-December 19, the price will be $590 and $800 per person for double occupancy and single occupancy respectively.

Mahali Mzuri safari camp has 12 sleeper tents and can accommodate only about 24 guests for now. It is situated within Motorogi Conservancy in the Maasai Mara ecosystem, just about 240km west of Nairobi. Important to note is that all rates are inclusive of meals, drinks, daily game drives and unlimited access to Olare Orok and Motorogi conservancies but does not include any traverse rights through Maasai Mara National Reserve at any time.
