Coastal hotel get a shs 1.2billion funding

The Milele Beach Hotel has started on its extension project which will include putting up an adjacent apartment hotel annex. The apartment hotel concept is rather a new idea and is being adopted in the local hospitality industry and number investors seem to be interested in this. It will become the very first non-smoking and non-alcoholic beach resort ever in Kenya.

Apartment hotels include services apartment’s complexes that use a hotel style booking system devoid of rigid format of a normal hotel room. In an interview yesterday, Anthony Njaramba who is Milele Beach Hotel General Manager, mentioned that the 60-apartment hotel project worth Sh1.2 billion project’s first phase is due for completion in August, next year.

Njaramba said that they had to adopt the fast changing travelers trends from around the world, set up this apartment hotel, with a spa, a conference and commercial center within our expansive grounds and this will make a gr4eat home fro all travelers especially since Kenya’s coastal areas attract lots of tourists  due to its different tourists attractions. The development is funded by National Bank of Kenya but it is owned by Presbyterian Church of East Africa.  The first phase has got eight pent houses, two, three and one bedroom apartments and a spa and restaurant, this is under construction while the 2rd phase will start next year and will include setting up the ultra modern 5,000 seater conference facility and a commercial center for the business travelers.
