In the wilderness, the buffaloes’ greatest enemy is the lion and would take pleasure in hurting each other. For instance a herd of about 35 African buffaloes arrived at open grassland near Morungu where they found a lion’s cub’s carcass after it was abandoned by its mother who must have felt it was too weak to handle the challenges of the savannah. Just to be certain, one buffalo sniffed the carcass and tried to bite the body of their greatest enemy in wild and then many other came to join the party, they snatched it from her mouth and kick it strongly from one side to another, expressing their feelings against their bitter enemy.

Shockingly in Mikumi National Park and savannah land the ‘King of the Jungle’ may chase away the lionesses who brought the meat but allow his cubs to share with him the precious moment. Lions often eat very fast and then go to rest under the shade of tree and when every member has had enough, then they will leave the remains for other carnivores like the hyenas and may be the vultures. This means, every animal in the jungle watch out for its enemy and when given a chance to destroy its enemy, this is done with pleasure.
