11000 ACRES FOR TSAVO FOR CONSERVATION PURPOSES

By February 28, 2012Kenya safaris

The Mbulia Group Ranch which is situated at the boundaries of Tsavo West National Park not so long ago  signed a long term agreement with New African Territories  agreeing to 11.400 acres land that they own turned into a wildlife protection area with an eco lodge to provide accommodation facilities to the  tourists. Surprisingly, a dry area which was of less important especially in terms of farming or livestock grazing has now proved to be a very good home to a lot of wildlife like the elephants and this will therefore become their  permanent home without having to fight over  shortage of  food with goats or cattle.

According to the sources, this agreement is a several year deal and the negotiations have just ended and it will be learning the pioneers like the Lewa Downs, Ol Pejeta and the Porini conservancies among so many others.   At the moment, New African Territories is progressing with the work to develop the area, like cutting and opening up a direct route that goes through Tsavo West to the main Nairobi Mombasa highway. When the safari camp is ready, information will be passed on to the public. Every on can be assured of a warm welcome the moment they visit the cam p especially because Tamsin Corcoran and Nana Grosse-Woodley who are to manage the place are experts in hospitality and conservation operations more so Nana who is knows the Tsavo region very well.
