Day 1 – Arrive Nairobi,
When you arrive, you will be received by a representative from AA safaris and tours and he will drive you to your hotel in Nairobi where you will spend the night and also have your dinner from as you wait to start your tour the next day. This may be at Ngong House, Fairmont the Norfolk, Serena hotel Nairobi, intercontinental or any other depending on your budget
Day 2 – Transfer to Amboseli National Park,
The guide will pick you up from the hotel immediately after breakfast, and will drive you to Amboseli National Park situated in Loitoktok district and its very popular for its wildlife like the buffalo, elephant, lion, giraffe, hyena, cheetah and a variety of smaller carnivores and antelope species that have a home in its savannah grass land. From the park, you can have a spectacular view of snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro which is Africa’s highest mountain.
After lunch, you will go for and evening game drive and there you will have the opportunity to see most of the animals that live in the park. The game drive will end in the evening and that will be the end of the day so you will return to the lodge for dinner and an over night. Lodge may be Amboseli Serena safari Lodges, Oltukai lodge or a similar lodge.
Day 3; Bird watching.
You will have your break fast early enough and the go fro bird watching with your guide. He will provide all the information about the different birds that you will come across but besides the birds you will also see other attractions like the trees species, the vegetation, among others. If you are keen, you can see over 200 bird species in one day. In the evening you can decode to go for a walk around the lodge and areas close by as you take pictures for memories about your trip before you can go back to the lodge for dinner.
Days 4 to 6 – Transfer to Lewa Downs,
In the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to Lewa Down at the foot of Mt. Kenya and it is the biggest private conservation that has prospered and has been the Craig family home since 1924. It was at first a rhino sanctuary in the 80s and now it is concerned about wildlife conservation and all habitats living along the slopes of the mountain like the grevy ’s zebra, sitatunga, the Oryx, among others.
You will spend the night at Lewa safari camp, Lewa Wilderness trails, Sirikoi, Borana, Desert rose lodge, Sabuk lodge or another
The next day, you will go for game viewing with a guide and it’s also possible to have a night game drive as well with a professional tracker. Game drive gives you an opportunity to see the wildlife in the conservancy like the rhinos, Zebras, elephants and many more. You will return to the lodge for breakfast, relax as you wait for lunch and after lunch you can go fro a walk at Lewa community weaving center, the furniture workshops check out the organic gardens, ancient archaeological site, you can do horse/ camel riding or any other activity till evening when you have to retire. This place will give you an utterly perfect safari experience.
On the 3rd day, after having breakfast, you will drive to Masai Mara game reserve, you will have lunch en-route and continue towards Rekero Tented Camp overlooking a migration crossing point on the Talek River with a clear view of the south and the plains of Tanzania. You visit this place because just a few people do game drives in these southern plains therefore less traffic thus giving you a feeling of wilderness. From there you will head to your lodge for your dinner and an overnight, Mara Serena safari lodge/ Sarova Mara game camp/ Mara Simba lodge/ Masai Mara sopa lodge or a similar lodge
Days; 7 to 9 – Masai Mara game drive
The game drives are intended to take you close to the wildlife rich spots in the Masai Mara so that you can have a chance to most of the wild animals in their natural habitat and how they live along side one another in the jungle as they go about their daily activities. The guide will take you for that morning game drive and later bring you back to the lodge fro breakfast and later in the after noon go for Masai Mara cultural visit. The Masai have rich culture; they are proud semi-nomadic pastoralist with a reputation of being vicious warriors. You will love their colorful lifestyle, relationship to their cattle and learn how they are absorbing the pressure of embracing the modern society.
The next day, after breakfast, you will go bird watching. There are over 550 recorded bird species in the Mara Ecosystem so with your guide, you will look for the birds in their natural habitat, listen to them singing. You will get to know the birds’ names, see their colors and t will be easy to spot these birds since the park has composed of open grassland.
River Mara
On day 9, you will do the early morning balloon safari which is a very interesting exercise and her you spend one hour silently floating over the savannah in a hot air balloon watching all the attractions in the park from over ground level and it will fill you with beautiful memories. You will be drifting with the whim of the wind and after the flight, you will return to you lodge for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, you go for horse riding
Day 10 – Transfer to Funzi Keys in Kenya.
After breakfast, you will transfer Funzi keys at a place called Bodo and once you get there, you will get on the boat to Funzi Keys. The Funzi Keys is located peacefully in the private white sands of its own peninsula, with a special kind of hospitality and welcomes guests into a garden paradise of friendly calm and natural luxury which makes you have the best memories ever therefore; this is one great place that you must visit while on a trip in Kenya. Your dinner will be at your lodge where you will spend the night at Funzi keys resort.
The next day, when you wake up, you will take breakfast after that you will go for a boat ride to Ramisi River or to Funzi creek and her you will have the opportunity to see the kingfishers, the crocodiles as well as the dolphins swimming the clear water as they usually visit the creek. You will take your time and later you will go back for lunch after which you will have time to relax at the long, have drinks as you watch the local fishermen with their fishing dhows sail by the lodge or water around the place admiring the beauty of nature.
Day 12; Windsurfing.
At the Funzi Keys, so many guests go there to do little more than unwinding and relaxing so you may do as you please so may not have to wake up very early however, after breakfast at the beach, you will go windsurfing or water skiing and from there you will see other attractive feature at the shores of the ocean that may draw your attention. When you return, you will have your lunch. After lunch, you go for a walk, then later in the evening relax from your room as you wait for dinner and sleep at the end of the day. You can be certain to have the best memories of your safari from Funzi keys.
The next day, you can go deep-sea fishing but also scuba diving in the Pemba channel can be arranged. There are boats available to see the dolphins that often visit Funzi Creek and sunset dhow cruises and beach barbecues will be available for you to enjoy.In the evening you may go swimming, have drink by the pool and later have your dinner before you can go to sleep.
Day 14 – End of the tour in Kenya
You will have breakfast very early in the morning and then start on your journey from Mombasa to Nairobi where you will catch your flight back home.
