Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara

AMBOSELI-TREELODGE-LAKE NAKURU-MASAI MARA

Day 1:

Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and drive past the scenic Athi Plains and into the luxuriant country of Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is a site made up everywhere by the shimmering, magnificent snowcap of the great Kilimanjaro – a fitting backdrop to the wild region. It is also the place where pastoral Masai plus their cattle have survived in harmony with wild creatures for a number of centuries. Having eaten your lunch, experience an afternoon game drive at the bottom of Africa’s highest mountain. Dinner and overnight is at one of the Amboseli Lodges, situated in the middle of the Amboseli National Park.

Day 2:

Rise up early morning for a game drive where you will be able to see the wonderful view of the impressive Mt Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped peak glittering pink in the rising sun. Amboseli is famous for its great numbers of Elephants plus the Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Lion and Black Rhino. The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a magnificent backdrop to one of Kenya’s most stunning displays of wildlife, forming Kenya’s most wanted photographer’s paradise. Having finished your lunch, embark on an extensive game drive then have dinner and overnight at one of the Amboseli Lodges.

Day 3:

Having finished your break fast, leave for Mt Kenya region. Carry your Lunch with you which will later in the day be enjoyed from the base hotel from where you will be driven to your tree lodge. Get pleasure from the exceptional experience of all night and unlimited game viewing. Dinner and overnight at a tree lodge enclosed by forest and overlooking an illuminated waterhole and salt lick.

Day 4:

Having finished your breakfast, drive to the base hotel for onward journey to Nakuru. Reach there ready to have your lunch. Get pleasure from an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park gives safe haven to the rhino. Lake Nakuru has at all times been taken as a flamingo lake par excellence. The distinction and apparent dislocation between the shallow soda lake with its ancient birds and the animated woods surround it giving Lake Nakuru National Park a very unique appeal. Dinner and overnight at a lodge overlooking the lake.

Day 5:

Having finished your breakfast, leave for Masai Mara – the land of enormous migrating herds. Reach in time for lunch. During the afternoon, start a game drive to get a closer look at the Mara. Come back to the classic Mara lodge/tented camp for sundowners, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6:

Awaken to the sounds of the big game country and venture out to absorb the enormity of the Mara. In this country of breathtaking vistas, view its vast assemblages of plains game together with their associated predators: Buffalo, Black Rhino, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Cheetah, Common Zebra, Coke’s Hartebeest, White bearded Gnu, Oribi, Warthog, and Thompson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. An early evening game drive to catch up on all that was missed. All meals and overnight stay are at the lodge.
