The Samburu Safari Kenya

The safari will give you an excellent introduction to the wonders of Kenya as you visit a number of different major national parks and game reserves next to a classic safari circuit. DAY 1. ARRIVAL

A representative of the company will be there to pick you up from the airport when you land at the airport and he will drive you to your hotel where you will spend the night and also have your dinner that’s at either Ole Serena hotel, Hilton hotel, Embassy hotel, or any other depending on your budget

DAY 2 DO A CITY TOUR

After breakfast, you will meet your guide who will take for a city tour around Nairobi which was once a swamp city but now a booming commercial centre. During the tour, you will see the parliament, Kenyatta international conference center. You may visit the local markets where you can buy good souvenirs depending on your bargaining power. From here you will visit the national museum which is known for exhibits about the early man, different cultural stuff.

After lunch, you will visit the mixed galleries; there are also the pillars like the nature pillar that show the origin of human, the history pillar with all the history about Kenya, among so many others. However, you can also chose to spend that afternoon at the Nairobi national park and then later in the evening, you will go back to the lodge for dinner and sleep as you wait for the next day.

DAY 3; TRANSFER TO SAMBURU

Immediately after the morning breakfast, you will then drive to Samburu national park at the shores of river Ewaso Ngiro and it is still Kenya’s lesser visited park till today. You will go through the rolling plain hills where you will be able to see some animals like elephants, giraffes, Somali ostriches, among others. You will have lunch en route and then go through the dense forest, see the different bird species which are over 350. Later in the evening, you will check into your lodge for dinner and sleep. DAY 4; GAME DRIVE IN SAMBURU

After the morning breakfast, the guide will take you for the game drives in this open savannah, vegetation looks semi-arid which makes game viewing very easy in this case. Uaso Nyiro River pass through the park and it’s a home to hippos and crocodiles besides all the other wild animals like the herds of elephants, lions , leopards, including several species that are not commonly seen in other parts of the country like the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes and long-necked gerenuks, cheetah. Game drives ends at around mid morning and you return to the lodge, wait for your lunch and after lunch, you will go for a guided nature walk and come back in time to enjoy the sundown as you wait fro dinner.

DAY 5; DRIVE TO ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK

You will have to get up early, have your breakfast and then drive south into the Aberdares. You will take a lunch break probably at the Out span Hotel. From here you transfer to your lodge like the Treetops and if its here, then you carry only an overnight bag and keep the rest at Out span hotel, there is also the Aberdare country club, the ark, among others.

DAY 6; TRANSFER TO LAKE NAKURU.

After breakfast you will drive out of Aberdare and head towards the Great Rift Valley and continue on to Lake Nakuru and there you will have your lunch, after lunch, you go for the afternoon game drive. You will spend the night and have dinner at sarova lion hill lodge, Lake Nakuru lodge

DAY 7– TRANSFER TO MASAI MARA

After breakfast, you will drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will be there in time for to so the afternoon game drive and you can expect to see lots of wildlife like the leopards, the lions, there are cheetahs and at the time of the wildebeest migration, Masai Mara is the best park to visit for total satisfaction. You will have your dinner at your lodge that at Mara Simba lodge/ Mara plains camp/ Mara Serena safari lodge/ Sarova Mara game camp/ Mara intrepid tented camp/olaro camp/ Olera Mara Kempinski or another similar to the named.

DAY 8– FUN IN MASAI MARA

When you wake up, you will go for an early morning balloon flight over the Mara. This is very interesting because it gives you an opportunity to see all the wildlife and the vegetation from and aerial angle which is more fun than driving around the park, this will be followed by a ‘bubbly’ bush breakfast however alternatively, when you wake up you will go for an early morning game drive and go back at midday to the lodge for midday breakfast. After the bush breakfast, you will relax at the lodge as you wait for lunch and in the afternoon, you will be going for a cultural visit with a local guide to help you better understand the Masai culture

DAY 9 End of the tour

After breakfast, you will return to Nairobi and proceed with your chosen destination and this will be the end of the safari with AA safaris and tours.
