Safari to Queen Elizabeth in Uganda

Day 1; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After your breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, you will meet a tour guide from AA safaris and tours who will brief you about your tour before he drives you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is located in the  south western part of Uganda and you my stop at the equator if you are interested in carrying those experiences they do there to determine the northern and southern hemisphere and then continue to Queen Elizabeth National park. You will have a lunch en route after which you will go sight seeing in the crater lakes region and in the evening, you will enjoy an evening game drive where you will be searching for different wild animals like the lions, zebras, antelopes among so many other animals. At the same time, you will enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the great lakes of Lake Edwards and Lake George as well as the great Kazinga channel. Later in the evening you will retire from your lodge where you will have your dinner from;

Budget – Institute of Ecology/simba

Mid range – Hippo Hill Camp or Ihamba Lodge

Luxury –Mweya safari lodge/ Jacana lodge / Katara Lodge or Kingfisher resort.

Day 2: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND THE LAUNCH CRUISE.

You will wake early enough, have your breakfast and then go for briefing before to start trekking Chimpanzees which are the closest to man in nature but you will also encounter other primates like the monkeys. The trekking may take some long hours and therefore you will have to carry your packed lunch as you may not be able to return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch at either 15.00 or 17.00 hrs, you will go for the afternoon boat -cruise along Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that is between Lake Edward and Lake George and during the cruise, you see variety of water animals like the hippos especially since this place has got the highest numbers of hippos in Africa, there also lots of bird species which are typical while others are just migrants, crocodiles and other animals like the buffaloes will be seen grazing and others taking water on the shores. After your boat, you will return to the lodge and have your dinner at Tembo Restaurant and overnight in the same place you had it the previous night.

Day 3: GAME DRIVE AND RETURN TO KAMPALA

You will have breakfast very early in the morning and then go for your early morning game drive and then go search for variety animals and you can expect to see the elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, the Python, hyenas, warthogs, birds’ hippos among so many others. After your lunch, you will be driving back to Kampala or straight to the airport.

It is important for you remember that since this is a group safari, bookings must be done at least 5 months in advance to enable us prepares and make the necessary reservations
