Rwanda work force development Authority ventures into hospitality sector
There is information that has been revealed by a reliable source form Rwanda which shows that the Workforce Development Authority (WDA) in its effort to ensure growth and development in Rwanda, it is now participating in the development of various sectors in the country for example, recently they opened up a school out of generosity and tourism in Remera, Gasabo District.
Jerome Gasana who is the director of the WDA said while addressing The New Times that this new school they have opened will be offering courses like catering, front office operations, housekeeping, customer care, cookery, food and beverages as well as travel and tour since tourism has proved to be a very important industry in the development of Rwanda just like it is to other East African countries which are blessed with various wildlife and historical sites that attract tourists from parts of the world.
Gasana added that the major purpose for opening this school is to encourage the growth of the hospitality and tourism sector in the country through bridging the skills gap. Hopefully, they can get over 100 students in the very first batch who are also already employed by service providers in the sector so that they can improve on their skills that they already have for better performance.
